Poster proposal for the 4th Arab Film Festival in Zurich. The design emphasizes the Arabic script, accentuates the foreign and its interaction with the known, the English language. The beholder may be irritated at first but will recognize the familiar at a closer look.

In Praise of Shadows
Layout of Japanese author Tanizaki Jun’ichirō’s essay "In Praise of Shadows" (1933). The redesign traces the dicussed issue of the Western perception of beauty outshining old Japanese traditions. Passages depicting the Japanese history and its appreciation for the dark are blanked out with white colour representing light.

Infographic illustrating a selection of flights from Zurich to various destinations and their carbon dioxide emissions into the air. These values are put into comparison with the emisson of a car and other alternative transport systems.

Lines
Photographic project examining various forms of lines. Veins and bones run barely visible through the human body. Depending on its movement they appear through the skin as distinct or faint lines which are reminiscent of a mountainous landscape partly covered in snow.
